DETAILS: 

Now here is a chance to advance from beginner to intermediate rider. The tour takes us through some of Northern Iceland’s most beautiful valleys, mountain ranges and meadows. Either the riding or the views will take your breath away. On this tour, you have multiple opportunities to tölt your horse, a special gait known to Icelandic horses. At the end of the tour you are invited to join us for coffee and light refreshments.

The 1/2 day tour will consist of a brief introduction to riding Icelandic horses. Then we set out for half day of riding depending on weather conditions. We then return to Stable Stop for unmounting, photo opportunities with your noble steed and some light refreshments.

REQUIRED CLOTHING:

hiking boots or any general boots, gloves, long pants and multiple layers of clothing you can take off depending on the day’s weather.

GUEST ARRIVAL:

The Myrká Tour departs daily from Stable Stop.

Pick-up & drop-off can be arranged prior to departure day from Akureyri. 

Guests need to arrive 15 mins before departure time for helmet fitting.
