Stable Stop meeting point is in the car park in front of a small church with a red roof. Please arrive 15 mins before tour commencement. See map below. 

DETAILS: 

To be free in the mountains on horseback is nothing short of breathtaking. Join us for the 1 1/2 hour adventure on horseback to the mountains. On this tour you have multiple opportunities to tölt your horse, a special gait known to Icelandic horses. At the end of the tour you are invited to join us for coffee and light refreshments.

The 1 1/2 hour tour consists of a brief introduction to riding Icelandic horses. Then we set out for riding. We then return to Stable Stop for unmounting, photo opportunities with your noble steed and some light refreshments.

REQUIRED CLOTHING:

Hiking boots or any general boots, gloves, long pants and multiple layers of clothing you can take off depending on the day’s weather.

GUEST ARRIVAL:

The Deacon Tour departs daily from Stable Stop.

Pick-up & drop-off can be arranged prior to departure day from Akureyri at an additional fee.

Guests need to arrive 15 mins before departure time.
